Drugs, the Brain and your Mental Health

Drug education is appropriately placed in the mental health component of the curriculum.  This pamphlet is specifically designed to assist teachers focus students attention on the effects of drugs on mental health.  It provides information about how the brain works and the role of the ‘feel good’ neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine and identifies how specific drugs act on different parts of the brain.  Student activity sheet included.
